Ḥasan ben Mashiaḥ est un maître karaïte du IXe ou Xe siècle qui, selon Sahl ben Maṣliaḥ, débattit publiquement avec Saadia Gaon puis écrivit contre lui après sa mort ; Ibn al-Hiti le situe à Bagdad, en controverse avec le médecin chrétien Abou Ali Isa ibn Zara. Un fragment de son traité polémique contre Saadia, portant sur l'ancienneté du calendrier juif, est conservé ; Hadassi cite son avis sur le droit successoral, et Ibn Ezra le range, dans la préface de son commentaire au Pentateuque, parmi les représentants de l'exégèse biblique karaïte.
