Ḥanania d'Ono est un tanna du IIe siècle resté connu pour un exploit au service du droit traditionnel : pendant qu'Akiba attendait en prison son exécution sous Tyrannus Rufus, une question maritale débattue à l'académie restait sans réponse, et Ḥanania se rendit jusqu'à la prison du maître pour en obtenir la décision, qu'il rapporta à ses collègues. Cité aux côtés de Meïr et de Yossé, il appartient ainsi à la génération des plus jeunes disciples d'Akiba, entre 139 et 165, et témoigna devant Gamliel sur la règle d'intercalation en vigueur en Galilée.
