Hanameel l'Égyptien est un grand prêtre du Ier siècle avant l'ère commune, choisi par Hérode pour occuper la charge laissée vacante par la mort infâmante d'Antigone. Égyptien selon la Michna, babylonien selon Flavius Josèphe, mais de souche sacerdotale sans appartenir aux familles de grands prêtres, il est bientôt écarté au profit du jeune hasmonéen Aristobule, frère de Mariamne, puis rétabli dans sa charge après la noyade de ce dernier, tramée par Hérode lui-même. On lui attribue la préparation de l'une des sept vaches rousses offertes depuis la restauration d'Ezra jusqu'à la dispersion finale des Juifs.
