Louis Grossmann est un rabbin et auteur américain né à Vienne le 24 février 1863, formé à l'université de Cincinnati et au Hebrew Union College, issu d'une famille de rabbins. Rabbin du Temple Beth El de Detroit de 1884 à 1898, il succède ensuite à Isaac M. Wise à la tête de la congrégation B'nai Yeshurun de Cincinnati et comme professeur de théologie au Hebrew Union College. Il publie notamment Judaism and the Science of Religion (1889), Maimonides (1890) et une biographie d'Isaac M. Wise (1900).
