Ignaz Grossmann est un rabbin américain né à Trencsén, en Hongrie, le 30 juillet 1825, et mort le 18 mars 1897 à New York, formé à la yechiva de Presbourg. Rabbin à Koritschan, en Moravie, à partir de 1863, puis à Varaždin, en Croatie, à partir de 1866, il est appelé en 1873 à Brooklyn, où il officie à la congrégation Beth Elohim puis à B'nai Abraham. Il publie notamment Die Sprache der Wahrheit (1870) et, en 1892 à Cincinnati, une présentation des commandements bibliques avec leurs fondements et leurs enseignements moraux.
