Rudolph Grossman est un rabbin américain né à Vienne le 24 juillet 1867, formé à l'université de Cincinnati puis au Hebrew Union College. Rabbin adjoint du Temple Beth-El de New York de 1889 à 1896, il dirige depuis cette dernière année le Temple Rodef Sholom dans la même ville. Secrétaire correspondant de la Central Conference of American Rabbis en 1902, il fut aussi grand aumônier de la grande loge maçonnique de New York entre 1898 et 1900.
