Lord George Gordon est un agitateur politique anglais converti au judaïsme, né à Londres le 26 décembre 1751 et mort en 1793, fils du troisième duc de Gordon. Élu au Parlement pour Inverness en 1774, il déclenche en 1778 une émeute en présentant une pétition contre l'émancipation des catholiques, qui lui vaut d'être brièvement emprisonné à la Tour puis acquitté. Reçu dans l'alliance à Birmingham par le rabbin Jacob, il adopte les usages juifs et meurt à la prison de Newgate d'une fièvre contractée pendant sa détention, où il purgeait une peine de cinq ans prononcée en 1788.
