Sigismund Goldberger est un juriste autrichien né à Jägerndorf, en Silésie autrichienne, le 15 juin 1854. Formé au gymnase de Troppau puis à l'université de Vienne, il commence à exercer le droit à Vienne en 1887 et publie plusieurs ouvrages sur la législation fiscale et le droit des brevets autrichiens, parus entre 1883 et 1899.

Il a commencé l'exercice du droit à Vienne en 1887. Il a écrit : « Oesterreichische Gewerbeordnung », 1883 ; « Das Neue Volksschulgesetz », 1883 ; « Die Directen Steuern », 1884 ; « Die Neuen Directen Steuern », 1898 ; « Das Neue Oesterreichische Patentrecht », 1899.
