Talmudiste allemand actif aux XIIe et XIIIe siècles, petit-neveu et probablement élève d'Éphraïm ben Jacob de Bonn. Mohel comme son père Jacob ben Gershon ha-Gozer, il poursuit son œuvre de collecte des règles et coutumes de la circoncision dans « Kelale ha-Milah », dont des extraits, tirés de l'Asufot manuscrit, furent repris par Glassberg dans son recueil « Zikron Berit ha-Rishonim » (Berlin, 1892) ; l'ouvrage contient aussi de nombreuses notes de remèdes qui intéressent le folklore juif.
