Talmudiste palestinien mort à Safed vers 1583. Élève de Joseph Caro, il lui succède à la tête de la yeshiva de Safed après sa mort et laisse des responsa cités dans le « Keneset ha-Gedolah » de Ḥayyim Benveniste. Il rédige des commentaires homilétiques et allégoriques sur l'Ecclésiaste (Venise, 1577), sur Esther (Venise, 1583) et sur le Cantique des Cantiques (Venise, 1587).
