Juriste allemand né à Breslau le 23 août 1872, fils du philosophe Jacob Freudenthal. Formé aux universités de Breslau, Berlin, Halle et Tübingen, il devient membre du tribunal de sa ville natale en 1898 puis maître de conférences l'année suivante, avant d'être nommé professeur de droit en 1903 à l'Akademie für Sozial- und Handelswissenschaften de Francfort-sur-le-Main. Il est l'auteur d'ouvrages de droit pénal publiés à Breslau en 1896, 1899 et 1901.
