Hébraïsant et enseignant russe, né à Radom, en Pologne russe, le 18 septembre 1853, élève en littérature talmudique du grand rabbin de Radom Samuel Mohilever. Enseignant au Talmud Torah de Radom depuis sa fondation en 1882, il traduit en hébreu le drame de Lessing « Miss Sarah Sampson » (1887) et, du polonais, l'« Esterka » de Kozlovski (1889), et collabore au journal « Ha-Ẓefirah ».
