Négociant établi en Jamaïque, né à Manchester (Angleterre) en 1811, mort à Kingston le 26 avril 1888. Arrivé sur l'île vers 1837, il devient magistrat et consul du Danemark, fonde la Hebrew Benevolent Society en 1851 et œuvre à l'union des communautés séfarade et ashkénaze. Longtemps président des écoles hébraïques nationales, il contribue en 1864 à la création du Kingston Sailors' Home.
