Rabbin allemand, père de David Fränkel, né à Berlin le 30 juin 1739, mort à Dessau le 20 février 1812. Installé à Dessau en 1787 comme rabbin, il exerce aussi comme « Messrabbiner » à Leipzig durant les foires, refuse tout salaire et soutient de jeunes étudiants talmudiques. Il est l'auteur du « Be'er Mosheh », responsa portant surtout sur les successions (Berlin, 1803), et du « Ha-Bi'ourim de-Dibré Ḳohelet », double commentaire cabalistique et talmudique de l'Ecclésiaste (1809).
