Femme de lettres française née Rodrigues à Bordeaux en 1795, morte à Paris en 1853, réputée pour sa beauté. Sous le pseudonyme de « Maria Fitz Clarence », elle collabore à de nombreux périodiques parisiens et publie plusieurs romans, dont « Kiddushim, ou l'Anneau Nuptial des Hébreux » (Paris, 1830), « La Juive » (1835) et « Contes Historiques » (1840).
