Juriste italien né à Florence en 1830, admis au barreau en 1856 après des études de droit à Pise, où il fut quelque temps l'associé de Mari. Professeur d'économie politique et de statistique à l'Istituto Tecnico de Florence, il reçoit en 1900 le titre rabbinique de « maskil » et publie notamment une biographie d'Adriano Mari (1888) et « Le Università Israelitiche e la Libertà di Coscienza » (1898).
