Enseignant d'hébreu né en Pologne vers 1555, mort à Leyde, en Hollande, en 1598. Après une carrière mouvementée qui le fait passer du catholicisme au protestantisme, il étudie à Oxford puis à Cambridge, où il est immatriculé le 16 décembre 1596 ; il touche en février 1598 une pension de la « Domus Conversorum », avant d'être attiré la même année à Leyde par Joseph Scaliger, qui lui obtient une chaire. Sa seule publication est une traduction des six cent treize commandements réunis par Abraham ben Kattani dans la Bible de Bomberg (Cambridge, 1597).
