Journaliste tunisien, fondateur et directeur de l'hebdomadaire Le Réveil Juif à Sfax. Nommé en 1932 premier commissaire (netsiv) du Bétar en Tunisie (mouvement de Jabotinsky), il fut, à partir de 1939, parmi les premiers à dénoncer l'antisémitisme et les crimes nazis via Radio Tunis et « La Demi-Heure Hébraïque ». Il fut emprisonné à plusieurs reprises pour ses positions.
