Poète liturgique né à Avignon, petit-fils de Vitalis Farissol, l'un des trois principaux baillis juifs d'Avignon en 1400. Élève de Salomon ben Menahem, dit Frat Maïmon, il compose en 1422, à l'âge de dix-sept ans, un commentaire au Cuzari de Juda ha-Lévi intitulé Bet Ya'aqob ; il est vraisemblablement le même que le poète mentionné par Zunz sous le nom de Comprad Farissol, actif à Avignon en 1453.
