Ferdinand Falkson fut un médecin et publiciste allemand, né à Königsberg le 20 août 1820 et mort dans la même ville le 31 août 1900. Diplômé en médecine en 1843, il fut nommé dès 1844 médecin des pauvres de la communauté juive de Königsberg, fonction qu'il conserva jusqu'à sa mort ; fiancé en 1845 à une chrétienne, il dut se marier en Angleterre, en 1846, faute d'autorisation dans son pays, et l'affaire judiciaire qui s'ensuivit ne se conclut en sa faveur qu'en 1849.
