Giorgio Errera fut un chimiste italien, né le 26 octobre 1860 à Venise. Formé aux universités de Padoue et de Turin, où il obtint son doctorat de chimie en 1882, il devint assistant du professeur de chimie avant d'être nommé, en 1892, professeur de chimie à l'université de Messine. Il publia de nombreux essais dans des revues scientifiques ainsi que l'ouvrage « Lezioni di Polarimetria » (Turin, 1891).
