Hungarian Jewish violinist, founding member of the Budapest String Quartet. Emigrated to Jerusalem, he founded there the Conservatory of Music of Palestine and participated in the rescue of Jewish musicians from Central Europe as well as in the founding of the Symphony Orchestra of Palestine. Buried in the Mount of Olives cemetery.
