Violoniste juif hongrois, membre fondateur du Budapest String Quartet. Émigré à Jérusalem, il y fonda le Conservatoire de musique de Palestine et participa au sauvetage de musiciens juifs d'Europe centrale ainsi qu'à la fondation de l'Orchestre symphonique de Palestine. Inhumé au cimetière du mont des Oliviers.
