Rabbin et liturgiste de Cologne, au XIIe siècle, parent du tossafiste R. Éliézer b. Nathan. Formé à Spire sous R. Isaac b. Elhanan puis à Mayence, il fut l'un des chefs du « grand synode » réunissant cent cinquante rabbins sous la direction de Rabbenou Tam et de son frère Samuel (Rashbam). Deux de ses piyyoutim, signés en acrostiche de son nom, nous sont parvenus.
