Commentateur biblique et poète du XVIIe siècle né à Grodno, en Lituanie, Samuel b. Moïse Dlugosz édite les Prophètes et les Hagiographes de la traduction judéo-allemande de la Bible, le « Ha-Maggid », y ajoutant un commentaire sur le livre des Juges, l'« Aguddat Shemuel » (Amsterdam, 1699 ; Wandsbeck, 1737) ; poète liturgique, il joint à sa traduction de la Bible de 1699 une seliḥa araméenne rimée et deux complaintes, reprises dans le « Tiḳḳun Shobabim » (Mantoue, 1732).
