Lithuanian Jewish writer and translator, born and died in Vilna. He translated into Hebrew works by Friedrich Schiller (William Tell, 1878; Don Carlos, 1879), the Deborah of S. H. Mosenthal (1880) and the manual of Jewish history and literature by David Cassel (1886).
