Né à Venise, fils de Jacob Pardo de Raguse (Dubrovnik), rabbin de Venise. Il enseigna à Sarajevo et à Split, devint grand rabbin de Sarajevo (1764) puis s'établit à Jérusalem à la tête de la yeshiva Hesed le-Avraham u-Vinyan Shelomo. Son commentaire de la Tossefta, Chasdei David, est tenu pour le plus important sur cet ouvrage.
