Né à Sefrou, il fut rabbin, juge et président du tribunal rabbinique à Sefrou, puis à Fès et Marrakech. Après l'indépendance, délégué juif au Parlement marocain et inspecteur de l'enseignement hébraïque des écoles de l'Alliance ; vice-président du Conseil religieux de Jérusalem. Il a rassemblé et publié une vaste documentation sur l'histoire des communautés de Sefrou et de Fès.
