Prêtre unitarien polonais né à Zbąszyń vers 1530 et mort en 1613, Martin Czechowic est d'abord prêtre catholique à Kórnik jusqu'en 1555, puis rejoint les Frères de Bohême à Vilna. En 1575, il publie à Lublin un texte contre le baptême des enfants ainsi que, à Raków, un ouvrage réfutant les objections des juifs à la messianité de Jésus ; le rabbin Jacob Naḥman de Bełżyce lui répond en 1581 par un texte publié à Lublin.
