Président de la cour suprême de Hongrie, né à Csongrad le 3 mai 1826, mort le 18 mars 1899. Il organise en 1848 un bataillon d'infanterie pendant la guerre d'indépendance hongroise, puis tient un cabinet d'avocat à Arad sous le régime absolutiste, avant d'être appelé au ministère de la Justice où il codifie en 1869 le droit judiciaire et mène la codification moderne du droit pénal hongrois. Décoré de l'ordre de Saint-Étienne en 1878, il préside la cour suprême à partir de 1879.
