Moraliste et poète espagnol, ayant vécu au début du XIIe siècle. Juda al-Ḥarizi le compte parmi les poètes renommés de son temps et lui prête, par le titre qu'il lui donne, une haute charge officielle. Il est l'auteur d'un ouvrage éthique, le Sefer ha-Musar, identifié par Steinschneider au Mishle Anashim Ḥakamim, connu aussi sous le titre Mishle 'Arab et publié en supplément à la revue Ha-Lebanon en 1867-68 ; cette œuvre, traduite en arabe par Joseph ibn Ḥasan sous le titre Maḥasin al-Adab, est composée pour l'essentiel en vers, répartis en cinquante qasidas.
