Talmudiste français, actif dans la première moitié du XIVe siècle, probablement originaire d'Espagne, établi à Perpignan peu avant la controverse maïmonidienne. Bien que rigoureusement orthodoxe, il garde une position neutre dans ce débat, malgré les efforts de son frère Don Bonafos Vidal de Barcelone et de Salomon ben Adret pour le rallier au camp anti-philosophique, et soutient son ami Samuel Sulami, qui avait donné refuge au philosophe ostracisé Lévi ben Abraham de Villefranche.
