Érudit, né à Carpentras, en France, en 1766, mort le 4 mai 1837, neveu et gendre de Mordecai Crémieux. Installé à Aix, en Provence, en 1790, il y fonde une imprimerie hébraïque d'où il fait paraître, entre 1829 et 1835, une édition corrigée du rituel des quatre communautés françaises d'Avignon, Carpentras, L'Isle et Cavaillon, accompagnée d'un commentaire intitulé Ho'il Mosheh Be'er, ainsi que des notes sur les commentaires d'Ibn Ezra à la Genèse, l'Exode, le Lévitique, les Cinq Rouleaux, les Proverbes et Job (1833-36).
