Juif portugais, agent à la cour de Charles II d'Angleterre, né à Beira, au Portugal, mort après 1665. Après un séjour à Bordeaux de 1640 à 1644, il s'installe à Rouen la même année, avant de s'établir en Angleterre comme marchand et agent royaliste, recevant et distribuant des fonds pour Charles II. Devenu agent consulaire et financier du Portugal à Londres après la Restauration, il suggère le premier le mariage du roi avec l'infante Catherine de Bragance ; converti au christianisme en 1660, il est anobli la même année, mais fait faillite en 1665 et finit emprisonné à la prison de Fleet.
