Député hongrois, petit-fils d'Aaron Chorin, né à Arad en 1842. Après des études de droit à Arad, Budapest et Vienne, il exerça dans sa ville natale, devint vice-président du barreau, puis fut élu en 1870 député d'Arad au Parlement hongrois, où il siégea vingt et un ans — la loi sur les changes de 1876 est entièrement son œuvre, et son projet de réforme de la procédure pénale, inspiré du droit anglais, fut adopté en 1896. Directeur à partir de 1881 de la compagnie houillère de Salgótarján, il défendit souvent ses coreligionnaires au Parlement et représenta la ville de Szatmár de 1895 à 1901, qui le fit citoyen d'honneur en 1902.
