Son of Rabbi Shelomo Bohbot (Kabbalist rabbi of Rabat who ascended to the Holy Land in 1889), Chabbétaï Bohbot was Chief Rabbi of Syria and Lebanon from 1924. He is the author of several works: Méghed Tsion, Hibat Tsion, Yalkout Tsion, Érets héfets, Kouppah chél b'ssamim.
