Auteur français, né à Épinal en 1811 et mort en 1858. Après des études de droit, il entra au service du gouvernement, où il occupa de nombreux postes, le dernier étant celui de préfet et d'inspecteur général des prisons à Grenoble ; il est l'auteur de deux ouvrages, Du Gouvernement d'Alger, à Paris en 1834, et Des Sociétés de Bienfaisance Mutuelle, à Grenoble en 1836.
