Il se suicide à 23 ans peu après avoir achevé sa thèse La persuasione e la rettorica, critique radicale de l'existence opposant la « persuasion » (possession de soi) à la « rhétorique ». Son père dirigeait l'antenne locale des Assicurazioni Generali.
