Théologien luthérien, né en 1650 à Hildesheim et mort en 1725 à Clausthal. Diacre à Zellerfeld en 1677, il devint surintendant en 1684, conseiller du consistoire en 1708 puis surintendant général de Clausthal en 1710. Il mena une œuvre missionnaire auprès des juifs, auxquels il distribuait des livres chrétiens imprimés en hébreu et en allemand.
