Wolf b. David ha-Cohen Buchner est un styliste hébraïque né à Brody dans la seconde moitié du dix-huitième siècle. Colporteur de livres hébreux à travers l'Allemagne, la Galicie, la Pologne et la Lituanie, il gagnait aussi sa vie en écrivant des lettres pour des illettrés et perdit la vue de l'œil droit lors d'un accident à Berlin. Il est l'auteur de « Zébed ha-Meliza », imitation du « Tahkemoni » d'al-Harizi écrite en 1770 mais publiée seulement à partir de 1794, de « Kéter Malkhout » (Lemberg, 1794), de « Chiré Tehilah » (Berlin, 1797) et de « Tsahout ha-Meliza » (Prague, 1805); imitateur du Moyen Âge poétique, il n'égale cependant ni Gabirol, ni al-Harizi, ni Bedersi.
