BRESNER, ISAAC BEN ELIJAH LEVI (appelé « Melammed » [maître d'école])

Pédagogue autrichien ; vécut à Prague dans la seconde moitié du dix-septième siècle et au commencement du dix-huitième. En 1795 Bresner publia à Prague, sous le titre « Iggeret Yiẓḥaḳ » (La Lettre d'Isaac), un ordre de confession, compilé à partir du « Sefer ha-Yirah » de Gerundi et du « Shene Luḥot ha-Berit » d'Isaiah Hurwitz, et qui est maintenant inséré dans de nombreux rituels. Il publia également en judéo-allemand une compilation de maximes intitulée « Dibre Musar » (Les Paroles d'Éthique), Prague, 1812.
