Moïse Brandeis, surnommé Ḥarif (« le Perspicace »), est un rabbin et maître talmudiste allemand né vers 1685 et mort le 24 juin 1761 à Mayence, fils du rabbin Jacob Brandeis de Zorek. Formé à la yeshiva d'Abraham Broda à Prague, il dirigea ensuite celle de Fürth, en Bavière, avant de devenir grand-rabbin de Jung-Bunzlau en 1717 puis rabbin de Mayence en 1733; kabbaliste observant strictement les préceptes d'Isaac Louria, il eut pour fils les rabbins Bezaleel, Gabriel de Prague et Jacob de Düsseldorf.
