Bondavi est un traducteur actif à Tarascon dans la première moitié du quatorzième siècle, frère de Samuel de Marseille, qu'il aida à réviser la traduction hébraïque, due à Jacob ben Makhir, de l'abrégé de l'Almageste de Ptolémée par Abou Mohammed Jabir ibn Aflaḥ; son frère le décrit dans le colophon comme fort versé en ces matières.
