Ḥayyim b. Benjamin Ze'eb Bochner est un kabbaliste, talmudiste et grammairien né à Cracovie, en Galicie, dans le premier quart du dix-septième siècle, et mort à Fürth, en Bavière, le 2 février 1684, fils de l'un des Juifs les plus riches de Cracovie. Élève d'Israël Ganz, dont il épousa la fille, il vendit à la mort de son père, en 1647, sa part d'héritage contre une rente lui permettant d'étudier, ouvrit une école rabbinique gratuite, fut l'ami de Lipmann Heller, exerça comme rabbin à Ebenfurth puis à Lackenbach, et s'installa à Vienne jusqu'à l'expulsion des Juifs, en 1670. Il publia son « Or Ḥadash » (Amsterdam, 1671) ainsi que « Toṣeot Ḥayyim », sur la grammaire (Hambourg, 1710).
