Sephardic from Bulgaria, leader of the Bulgarian Zionist movement and the revisionist movement, member of the illegal Committee for the Rescue of the Jews of Bulgaria during the Second World War. He emigrated to Israel, sat in the Knesset (Herut/Gahal, 1955–1965) and was a historian of Bulgarian Jewry (including « Vidni evrei v Bulgariya », Distinguished Jews in Bulgaria).
