Solomon Bennett est un théologien et graveur anglais né en Russie avant 1780 et mort après 1841. Auteur de plusieurs ouvrages bibliques, dont « The Temple of Ezekiel » (1824) et « Critical Remarks on the Authorized Version » (1834), il entreprend en 1841 une traduction révisée de la Bible anglaise, dont seuls deux fascicules, couvrant la Genèse i-xli, paraissent avant l'abandon du projet; il vécut à Berlin en 1795-99 avant de passer la fin de sa vie à Bristol.
