Benjamin b. Isaac de Carcassonne n'est connu que par sa traduction en hébreu — depuis le latin — du traité de Jean de Bourgogne sur la corruption de l'air par la peste, intitulée « 'Ezer Eloah », conservée en manuscrit à la Bibliothèque nationale de Paris. Le second ouvrage de Jean de Bourgogne ayant été rédigé en 1365, la traduction de Benjamin est datée de quelques années plus tard, vers 1370.
