Artiste italien, vraisemblablement établi à Ferrare, actif au XVe siècle, fils du médecin Élie Beer. Son nom figure en acrostiche dans la légende hébraïque d'une médaille de bronze découverte à Lyon en 1656, que plusieurs érudits crurent d'abord représenter Louis le Débonnaire avant que Zunz, en 1840, n'établisse qu'elle porte en réalité le nom de Benjamin, fils d'Élie Beer le médecin ; le chiffre « D.III.M. » qui y figure pourrait désigner l'année 1503.
