Chantre principal de la communauté juive de Berlin, né en 1738, mort le 3 janvier 1821, en la cinquantième année de son ministère de cantor. Doté d'une voix de ténor exceptionnelle par son ampleur et sa puissance, il attirait, vers 1770, des amateurs de musique venus de loin pour l'entendre. La Bibliothèque royale de Berlin conserve un beau portrait le représentant jeune homme, tenant en main une page de titre.
