Rabbin italien de la première moitié du XVIIIe siècle, fils d'Israël Hézékiah Bassani et élève de Moïse Zacuto et de Juda Briel de Mantoue. Rabbin à Cento de 1702 à 1707, il s'installe ensuite à Padoue, où il est encore attesté en 1716, puis à Reggio, où il meurt quelque temps après 1736. Moïse Hayyim Luzzatto compta parmi ses élèves, et nombre de ses décisions rabbiniques sont conservées dans le « Pahad Yitzhak » de Lampronti.
