Négociant et hébraïsant, né à Lemberg en 1794 et mort à Vienne le 11 avril 1864, il consacra ses loisirs à l'étude de la littérature hébraïque et composa « 'Aḳedat Yiṣḥaḳ », un drame adapté de l'« Isacco » italien de Métastase (Vienne, 1833), ainsi qu'un dictionnaire hébreu-allemand, le « Ma'arik ha-Ma'arakot », publié à titre posthume par Max Letteris en 1868. Il contribua aussi à de nombreux périodiques juifs.
